Lauren Hiller


Lauren Hiller is a Community Advocate for the Housing Rights program at Advancing Justice-Asian Law Caucus. Lauren is deeply invested in protecting affordable housing for vulnerable communities, an interest she developed after growing up in an immigrant family that faced significant obstacles to economic and housing security. She is especially interested in Chinatowns, having interned at both Chinese for Affirmative Action and Chinatown Community Development Center and done independent research on land use laws in San Francisco’s and DC’s Chinatowns. Lauren graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s in Regional Studies (Asia) in May 2017 and has a Certificate in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design.
