Nicole Wong is the Community Advocate for the Voting Rights program at ALC. She works to ensure that immigrant, low-income, and limited English proficient (LEP) voters across California have the knowledge and resources they need to fully access the ballot. She helps coordinate ALC’s extensive poll monitoring program and works directly with community based organizations to conduct outreach and education around recent voting legislation.
Nicole grew up in San Francisco and graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies focused on sustainable, just food systems. Before coming to ALC, Nicole worked in various parts of the food supply chain: from a local farm to a plant-based kitchen to, most recently, an organic produce distributor. She has previously held internships with The Berkeley Food Institute, Lucky Peach Magazine, and Supervisor Fewer’s office, where she deepened her interests in writing, policy, and community organizing.
