Our Staff Spotlight highlights a different member of the Advancing Justice – ALC team to bring you a little closer to the remarkable people responsible for our success.
In this issue of The Defender, we’re highlighting Tiffany Panganiban, our Operations Manager. Tiffany keeps the office running with a smile, making sure Advancing Justice – ALC is efficient, organized, and that all our staff’s needs are met. Since joining the organization, Tiffany has quickly become a go-to resource for staff, clients, and guests through her vast expertise and initiative.

What is your family’s immigration story?
When the US annexed Hawaii, it declared Hawaii residents as US citizens, my grandmother included; then, derivative laws applied to my grandmother’s children, my mother included, allowing for us to migrate. So at 15 years old, I moved to the US.
What is your favorite part of what you do at Advancing Justice – ALC?
I like the dynamic role and variety of tasks and projects I get to work on — working behind the scenes to support a group of passionate people and equip them with the necessary tools and systems to better serve our AAPI community is fulfilling.
What do you enjoy doing outside of your time at Advancing Justice – ALC?
As long as it involves great conversations with people, coffee, books, art, wine, and/or whisky, I am in.
Fun fact about you
My four siblings and I have first and middle names starting with the letter “T”, presumably all named after characters from books our mom read.
